What is the ruling on letting the shemagh hang down during prayer or tucking it in?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : O Shaykh, what is the ruling on letting the shemagh hang down during prayer?

The Shaykh : How do you let it hang down?

The questioner : Do you make it like this?

The Shaykh : Meaning, you leave it on your hands rather than on your head?

The questioner : Meaning, like this, O Shaykh!

The Shaykh : Stop!

The questioner : Like this!

The Shaykh : There is nothing in it.

The questioner : Meaning, during your bowing and prostration?

The Shaykh : Yes, there is nothing wrong with it, but if you prostrate while it is hanging loose like this, do not tuck it in. However, if you tuck it in from the start and place it on your head or put it behind your back, there is no harm, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
I was commanded to prostrate on seven bones and not to tuck in hair or clothing أمرت أن أسجد على سبعة أعظم وأن لا أكف شعراً ولا ثوباً
Sahih Ibn Hibban 10:211
This means that the state during prostration is not absolute. For example, if the shemagh or ghutrah is hanging down, as I told you just now and as the brothers saw, do not tuck it in for the sake of prostration; let it hang down. But if you tuck it in from the start like this on the back, there is no harm, or if you tuck it in on the head like this, there is no harm, because the prohibition is for a person to tuck it in, or to tuck it in when?
During prostration, yes. Likewise, if a person is working in his farm or in any other activity from the start and has tucked in his garment, there is no harm. But if you intend to prostrate, do not tuck in the sleeve for the sake of prostration.
