Covering the shemagh is not to be compared to covering the hair

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: O Shaykh! Is covering the shemagh to be compared to covering the hair? The Shaykh: No.
Covering the shemagh is not to be compared to it; because people wear the shemagh in multiple ways. One person wears it like this, as I am wearing it,Meaning: draping it down from both sides,And a person who wears it like this means: folding its ends from the back, and another person wears it like this, wrapping both ends over the head. So the way it is worn differs. For this reason, we find that the turban in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was worn covered; is it not folded over the head? So people differ in how they wear the shemagh.
We ask Allah to grant us beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds, and to make us and you among those who follow a path in which they seek knowledge.
