Benefits of the Verse: “Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. For them is a great punishment.”

In this noble verse, there is evidence that the hearts are the seat of consciousness, based on His saying: meaning that good does not reach them.
Among its benefits is also that the paths of guidance are either through hearing or through sight, because guidance may come through hearing or through sight: through hearing in what is said, and through sight in what is witnessed. Likewise, the signs of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) are to be read and heard, and they are clear and witnessed.
