Continuation of the benefits of the verse: “Who made the earth a bed for you and the sky a building, and sent down water from the sky, thereby bringing forth for you sustenance from the fruits. So do not set up rivals for Allah while you know.”

And among the benefits of this noble verse is the power of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and His grace in bringing forth these fruits from water. As for the power, it is apparent: you find the earth gray and barren, with not a single green leaf in it, then the rain descends, and in a short time this vegetation emerges from every beautiful kind by the permission of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). In this is power, and in this is grace. Therefore He said:
sustenance for youرزقا لكم
. And among the benefits of this noble verse is that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is a bestower of blessings upon mankind, whether they are disbelievers or Muslims. ‘Aqil, from where?
for youلكم
He is addressing people in general with the first part. So Allah has a favor upon people, both their disbelievers and their believers; each has a favor from Him. But the favor of Allah upon the believer—may Allah make me and you among them—is continuous, connected by one favor after another. And the favor of Allah upon the disbeliever is severed by his severance from this world.
