Continuation of the benefits of the verse: “And seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, it is difficult except for the humble”

Among the benefits of this noble verse is that prayer is a means of seeking help in matters and the affairs of life, as Allah the Exalted said: We know with absolute certainty that this is a true report, without any doubt.
If someone were to say: “I always pray, but I find no help?”
We would say: You have not prayed, you have not prayed. You established the form of the prayer, but you did not establish its reality. For this reason, Allah Mighty and Majestic says:[Al-'Ankabut 29:45] Many people enter the prayer and leave it without finding that their hearts have changed regarding obscenity and wrongdoing; they remain as they were. Their hearts have not turned to remembrance, nor have they shifted to a love of worship, nor anything else—and we ask Allah to help us and you. There are many defects. Therefore, Allah’s promise is true, without doubt: prayer helps and restrains from obscenity and wrongdoing. But the prayer of most people today is what? It is form without reality.
Among the benefits of this noble verse is that if your sorrows are prolonged, you must turn to patience and what? And prayer, through patience and prayer. As for the saying of the common people: “If your worries are great, take your length from the earth”—do you know the meaning? It means sleep. That is, when a person sleeps, he takes his length from the earth. But when he is standing, how much does he take from the earth? Only the space of his feet, the space of two feet only. This is not correct. Rather, we say: if your worries and sorrows are many, you must turn to patience and prayer, as Allah Mighty and Majestic said:[Al-Baqarah 2:45] Now, shall we take questions or shall we proceed? We will take questions.
