What should a worker do if he stands at 'Arafah and his guarantor tells him, "Your Hajj is complete, so return to work"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
His EminenceThe Shaykh : A man performed Hajj and stood at 'Arafah, but his employer prevented him from completing the Hajj. The employer told him, "Your Hajj is complete as long as you stood at 'Arafah; that is enough, you do not need to complete the rites." Is his Hajj complete or not?

The Shaykh : He still has remaining duties, may Allah reward you. He still has the tawaf and sa'y, if he was not performing qiran or ifrad, because he performed sa'y with the tawaf of arrival. He still has to stay overnight at Muzdalifah, stay overnight at Mina, ston the pillars, and perform the tawaf of farewell.

The questioner : He is a worker, and his employer prevented him from performing Hajj.

The Shaykh : Very well.

The questioner : When he stood at 'Arafah, he was told, "That is enough, you are done now."

The Shaykh : But did he not give him permission to perform Hajj?

The questioner : He gave him permission.

The Shaykh : He must complete it. It is obligatory for the employer to give him permission for the rest. It is not permissible for him to release him from the state of ihram, meaning it is not permissible for him to say, "You may exit the state of ihram now, that is enough." Even if he says that, the worker has the right to refuse and escalate the matter to the responsible authorities.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : Yes.
