Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
After this, a message reached the program from the listener: (N. A. N). He says: We work at a farm in Makkah al-Mukarramah for a year and a half, and I have not performed Hajj. What is your opinion, Your Eminence the Shaykh, if my sponsor does not agree to let me go for Hajj next year? Should I perform Hajj without his permission? Please guide us, may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is obligatory for you to perform Hajj if you are able to do so; because Allah the Exalted says:
And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a wayوَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا
[Al-Imran: 97]. So you must do what you can to fulfill this Hajj that Allah has made obligatory upon you. And if the need arises to refer the matter to His Highness the Prince of the Makkah Region, or his deputy, to persuade your sponsor to allow you to perform Hajj; then that is possible, and praise be to Allah. Yes.
