Is it permissible for a woman to visit her mother's grave accompanied by her father?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : I know that visiting graves for women is forbidden and not permissible, but one of the sisters says: I want to visit my mother's grave with my father. Is that permissible for her?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible for her to do so, because a woman is prohibited from visiting graves, whether by herself or with her mahram (a relative one may not marry). This is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed those who visit graves. If she wants to benefit her mother, let her supplicate to Allah for her. Whenever she supplicates to Allah in any place and Allah accepts her supplication, the mother will benefit from this supplication. Yes, if a woman leaves her home for a purpose other than visiting graves and then passes by the cemetery, there is no harm in her stopping and greeting the people of the graves with the known salam: "Peace be upon you, people of the abode of a believing community, and we, if Allah wills, will be joining you. May Allah have mercy on those of us who have gone before and those who come after. We ask Allah for well-being for us and for you. O Allah, do not deprive us of their reward, and do not test us after them, and forgive us and them." And then she departs.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. From the questions of this questioner, she says.
