The questioner : A wife who is twenty-five years old, has a group of children, and praises Allah that she is religious and has been wearing the Shari'ah hijab for two months after she started listening to this beneficial program, Nur 'ala al-Darb, and learned from your eminence that the Shari'ah hijab is obligatory. The reason for wearing the hijab was your noble guidance, may Allah reward you with good, and this good program. Her husband encouraged her to wear the hijab, but she faces some difficulties and pressures from people and neighbors who say: that this act is a lack of intelligence, that the Shari'ah hijab is not obligatory, and that it was only for the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She says: I tried to make them understand that wearing the hijab is obligatory to no avail, and I suffer from it and sometimes feel that I have weakened with them. We reached a dead end with them until they told me: leave the hijab. I am sad because there is no one among them who speaks a word of good. Is there a word for these people, may you be rewarded?

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. I thank Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) for making this program "Nur 'ala al-Darb" beneficial for the servants of Allah, and this is what we want and what the Saudi government wants, may Allah (Mighty and Majestic) grant them success. We have heard praise for it from several people, both in the country and outside the country. Then, I congratulate this sister questioner whom Allah has blessed with guidance in wearing the Shari'ah hijab, which includes covering the face, and indeed, that is its most important part.
As for the harm she receives from her people and their saying that this is madness, do not be surprised by this, for the same or worse was said about the messengers (peace and blessings be upon them). Allah the Exalted said: So let her be patient and let her count it as a reward, and let her know that everything that befalls her is due to her holding fast to the religion of Allah, for that is an elevation of her ranks and good for her in this world and the Hereafter. And let her not be like those about whom Allah said: .
As for those people who forbid what is right, how great is their loss! They are in opposition to Allah and His Messenger, for everyone who forbids what Allah and His Messenger have ordered is in opposition to Allah and His Messenger. As for their saying that this hijab is specific to the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), we say: If the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) are commanded to wear the hijab, and they are the most chaste of women and the furthest from fitnah, then those below them are even more so. And thus, the argument based on that is correct. However, we do not accept that this is specific to the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family); rather, the hijab of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) is a specific hijab, not the one we are talking about. Yes.
