The Book of Faith-10a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Al-Hakam ibn Musa al-Qantari narrated to us, saying: Yahya ibn Hamzah narrated to us from Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid ibn Jabir, who said: Al-Qasim ibn Makhmirah narrated to me, saying: Abu Burdah ibn Abu Musa narrated to me, saying:
Abu Musa got seriously ill, fainted and could not reply to his wife while he was lying with his head in her lap. When he came to his senses, he said, "I am innocent of those, of whom Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was innocent. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) is innocent of a woman who cries aloud (or slaps her face) who shaves her head and who tear off her clothes (on the falling of a calamity) وجع أبو موسى وجعا فغشي عليه ، ورأسه في حجر امرأة من أهله فصاحت امرأة من أهله ، فلم يستطع أن يرد عليها شيئا ، فلما أفاق قال : أنا بريء مما برئ منه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فإن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم برئ من الصالقة، والحالقة، والشاقة
Sahih al-Bukhari 1296
.

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
It has previously been mentioned to us that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disavowed those who tear their garments, strike their cheeks, and invoke the invocations of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance. This means that the status of the believer is not like the status of these people; rather, his status is one of patience and seeking reward. Then the author mentioned the hadith of
Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) when he lost consciousness while ill. When he regained consciousness, he found a woman wailing with her crying. He said: "I am innocent of what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) disavowed, for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) disavowed the wailer, the shaver, and the tearer."

Al-Saliqah: The one who raises her voice upon a calamity. It is also called al-Saliqah. From this comes the saying of Allah the Exalted:
they lash you with sharp tongues سلقوكم بألسنة حداد
[Al-Ahzab 33:19]

As for al-Haliqah: She is the one who shaves her hair upon a calamity. This was among their customary practices. Among their practices was that she would sometimes pluck it out, taking from the hair of her head like this and plucking it out. Thus, they had two methods: shaving and plucking.
The third: Al-Shaqah: The one who tears her garment, her sleeve, or something else upon a calamity.
