What are the places of supplication in the prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Some scholars hold that there are many places for supplication in the prayer, including: the bowing, the rising from it, the prostration, the sitting between the two prostrations, and so on. Is the intended meaning a specific, restricted supplication, or a general one?

The Shaykh : May Allah reward you. As for the bowing, do not supplicate except with what has been transmitted, such as: "Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, Allahumma ighfir li" (Glorified are You, O Allah, and with Your praise, O Allah, forgive me). Otherwise, the principle is that the bowing is an act of magnifying the Lord. As for the prostration, it is clearly a place for supplication. What comes after the final tashahhud is a place for supplication. The sitting between the two prostrations is a place for supplication. The rising from the bowing is a place for supplication. And the opening supplication is a supplication at the beginning of the prayer
O Allah, purify me from sins اللهم باعد بيني وبي خطاياي
Sunan Abi Dawud 781Sahih (Al-Albani)
.

The questioner : General?

The Shaykh : What do you mean by general?

The questioner : One adds to it.

The Shaykh : Yes, one adds whatever one wishes, but we prefer to begin with what has been transmitted.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Do not the obligations occur gradually? Before it existed, before this thing existed. For this reason, he said:
When one of you recites the final tashahhud إذا تشهد أحدكم التشهد الآخر
. It is as if the final tashahhud was established and known among the Companions, and then this thing was added to it.
