Does a person strive against himself to reduce sleep in order to seek knowledge?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : His saying: "Knowledge is not attained through bodily comfort" Some people may become exhausted if, for example, they reduce their sleep or do something similar. It is reported from al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and others that they used to sleep only a little. A person strives against himself and trains his nature until it becomes accustomed, or perhaps people have different natures.

The Shaykh : The measure is the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
Indeed, your Lord has a right over you, and your self has a right over you, and your family has a right over you, and your guests have a right over you. So, give every right its due. إن لربك عليك حقا ولنفسك عليك حقا ولأهلك عليك حقا ولزورك عليك حقا فأعط لكل حق حقه
This is the measure, and people differ. Some people can bear it and can review from morning until noon, while others cannot do this. So, give yourself what you are able to do.
