When a person has sons or brothers who want to perform Hajj or fulfill the obligation, but most young people of this age are far from knowing about Hajj and feeling its significance.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah preserve you. A person may have sons or brothers who have reached the age of puberty, and he wants them to perform Hajj or fulfill the obligation. But, O Shaykh, the general situation is that young people of this age are far from knowing about Hajj and feeling its significance. For this reason, you find that most of them imitate those with them. So when one of them grows up, he says, "I want to perform Hajj because I performed it but I do not know how I performed it that year." This is what we felt in our first Hajj as a person. So should we delay it for one or two years until the mind of each one is settled, he learns Hajj, and his Hajj is performed with his own care?

The Shaykh : By Allah, I hope, if Allah wills, that there is nothing wrong with this, because this is a delay for the benefit of the worship. So I hope there is nothing wrong with it, if Allah wills. Although, as you mentioned, most people today, especially regarding Hajj, do not treat it as worship; it seems to them like just activities and actions. For this reason, you find that they do not care about the issue of permission for others or the issue of humility, even in their camps in Mina. For example, if you went to them, you would find them as if they are on a picnic. But what you mentioned, I hope there is nothing wrong with it if the delay is for what? For the benefit of the worship. Then there is another thing that lightens the matter: most of these people do not have money; they do not have money. So Hajj is not obligatory upon them, and their guardian is not required to make them perform Hajj. Do you understand? This also lightens the issue.
