The questioner : What is the ruling on beginning the qunut with praise of Allah? And is this established?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. Yes, there is nothing wrong with beginning the qunut with praise and eulogy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and sending prayers and peace upon His Prophet. If one begins it by saying: "O Allah, we seek Your help and guidance, we seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance", that is good. And if one begins it by saying: "O Allah, guide us among those You have guided, and grant us health among those You have granted health", there is nothing wrong with it. The matter is broad in this regard, and the important thing is that a person performs the qunut. But is the qunut a recommended practice every time one prays witr, or only sometimes, or at a specific time? There is scholarly disagreement on this, and the stronger position in my view is that one does not perform the qunut except sometimes, and that the default is not to perform the qunut. This is because those who described the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) prayer and his witr at night do not mention that he used to perform the qunut. And if something was reported regarding this, it is on a weak basis. So the default in witr is not to perform the qunut, and if one does perform it, there is nothing wrong with it. Some scholars recommended making it a habit in the month of Ramadan during the tarawih prayers, saying: because the people are gathered, and supplication is likely to be answered when people gather for it. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. This questioner from Jordan has a set of questions about divorce. My first question is:
