Continuation of the Explanation of the Hadith of Ibn 'Abbas.

The Shaykh : It has been mentioned to us previously that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) used to circumambulate on his mount during the Farewell Pilgrimage. Which circumambulation was it? It was not the arrival circumambulation. He did not circumambulate on his mount for the arrival circumambulation; rather, he shouldered his camel and performed the quick walk for three circuits and walked for four. It appears that this was during the circumambulation of departure. It appears that this was during the circumambulation of departure because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) led them in the Fajr prayer after the circumambulation, and the apparent indication is that the mount was not with him.
