The reciter: Muhammad ibn Kathir narrated to us, saying: Sufyan informed us, saying: Abd al-Rahman, who is Ibn al-Qasim, narrated to us from al-Qasim from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: Sahih al-Bukhari 1680
The Shaykh : Sawda was one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She was an intelligent woman and advanced in age. She feared that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would divorce her. She feared, and it is apparent that he would not divorce her, but the woman was afraid. So she gave her day to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to allocate two days to Aisha: her original day and Sawda's day. She was heavy, slow, and advanced in age. She sought permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to transfer the night of Jumu'ah, so he granted her permission.
Sauda asked the permission of the Prophet (ﷺ) to leave earlier at the night of Jam', and she was a fat and very slow woman. The Prophet (ﷺ) gave her permission.
