Regarding the one who was negligent in fasting three days during Hajj, is it dropped from him, or is it obligatory for him to fast ten days?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding the one who was negligent in fasting three days during Hajj, is it dropped from him, or is it obligatory for him to fast ten days?

The Shaykh : According to the madhhab, it is obligatory for him to fast them and also offer a sacrificial animal because he delayed them from their time. And what we see is that they will not be accepted from him even if he fasts for thirty years, because he delayed them from their time without an excuse. The legal principle dictates that any time-bound act of worship, if a person delays it from its time without an excuse, it is not accepted. This is based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected. من عمل عملاً ليس عليه أمرنا فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718b
So he fasts the seven. If someone says: "Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, said:
Those are ten complete [days] تلك عشرة كاملة
[Al-Baqarah 2:196]
" We say: Yes, the three that he delayed without an excuse, he will be punished for them, and the seven that he fasted after returning will be accepted.
