The ruling on the one who combines 'Umrah and Hajj, fasts for three days, and then finds the value of the sacrificial animal

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: A person became obligated to offer the sacrificial animal in Hajj, but he was unable to buy it due to hardship, so he fasted for three days in Hajj as Allah commanded. After he fasted them, or fasted some of them, he found someone to lend him the money, or Allah facilitated the sacrificial animal. What should he do?

Answer: If the value with which to buy the sacrificial animal becomes available to him, even after the days of Hajj, he has the choice between slaughtering it—in which case there is no need to fast the seven days at his home—or fasting the remaining seven days; because he has started the fasting and the sacrificial animal has been dropped from his obligation. However, once he slaughters it, the remaining days are dropped from his obligation. Know that the obligatory time for slaughtering is the four days: the day of the festival and the three days of Tashriq, provided he has the ability. Slaughtering it after that is making up a missed act of worship.
