If one delays after the Farewell Tawaf in Makkah, is a fidyah required of him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, my father, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Uthaymeen. A man says: I performed Hajj this year, if Allah wills. However, I stoned the pillars on Thursday, the 12th of Dhul-Hijjah, after the midday prayer. Then I went to Makkah and performed the Farewell Tawaf, finishing around five o'clock before sunset. Then I went to my residence in al-Aziziyah. My intention was to collect my belongings and travel directly to Jeddah, as I have a relative there with whom I would spend several days. But due to my health condition, which afflicted me on the Day of 'Arafah, I was unable to do so, so I postponed my travel until the morning. I slept in my residence and woke up in the morning, traveling from Makkah to Jeddah around nine o'clock in the morning. Please inform us if I owe a fidyah, because the Farewell Tawaf is no longer valid? He should have traveled immediately.

The Shaykh : Is he from the people of Jeddah or from Makkah?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Is he from the people of Jeddah? Is he a resident of Jeddah?

The questioner : No, he is from the people of al-Qasim.

The Shaykh : He is from the people of al-Qasim. If he had returned from Jeddah, it would have been obligatory for him, it would have been obligatory for him, that he return from Jeddah and perform the tawaf, or perform the tawaf before traveling. So what I see is that, as a precaution, he should slaughter a fidyah in Makkah to be distributed to the poor, as a precaution.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good

The Shaykh : Yes.
