What is the ruling on one who performed the farewell tawaf and did not leave Makkah due to a breakdown in the ship?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : This questioner says: We performed the farewell tawaf and did not leave Makkah due to a breakdown in the ship.

The Shaykh : This questioner says: They performed the farewell tawaf, intending to leave Makkah, and before they left, news reached them that the ship was out of service and would remain for days. So we say: The tawaf they performed becomes voluntary, and they will be rewarded for it. If the ship’s departure time is rescheduled, they should perform tawaf again. However, if they performed tawaf and then left for Jeddah, and in Jeddah they were told that the ship was out of service and would remain for ten days, so they returned to Makkah and stayed for ten days, and then they wanted to travel, there is no need for the farewell tawaf in this case, because they have already bid farewell and left from where?

The questioner : From Makkah.

The Shaykh : They left Makkah, and the tawaf is dropped. Yes.
