Is it permissible to pair the name of the Messenger with the name of Allah other than in the tashahhud?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, is it permissible, for example, to pair the phrase "There is no god but Allah" with "Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger" other than in the tashahhud?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is permissible for a person to say: "There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah," or to say: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah," or to say: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger," or to say: "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger." All of this is permissible.

The questioner : I mean, if some students of knowledge were to object to a common person for doing this, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : But the formulation that was transmitted is better than the others.

The questioner : What is the ruling on students of knowledge objecting to this?

The Shaykh : Why would they object?

The questioner : He objects and tells him: It is not permissible for you to say this except only in the tashahhud.

The Shaykh : Why? As long as it is permissible in the tashahhud, it is permissible elsewhere.

The questioner : He says it is not permissible except in the tashahhud.

The Shaykh : The point is that he does not have knowledge. If he has knowledge, let him bring it.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : After that?
