The reciter: Muhammad narrated to me, saying: Abd al-A'la informed us, from Yunus, from al-Hasan, from Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
The sun was eclipsed while we were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He stood up, dragging his garment, in haste, until he reached the mosque. The people gathered, and he prayed two rak'ahs. Then the eclipse cleared, and he turned to us and said: "The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah. So when you see something of them, pray and call upon Allah until it is cleared."
