Is the prayer between the adhan and the iqamah a recommended practice or a religious innovation?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is the prayer between the adhan and the iqamah part of the Sunnah or part of a religious innovation?

The Shaykh : The prayer between the adhan and the iqamah is part of the Sunnah, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Between every two calls (to prayer) there is a Salat بين كل أذانين صلاة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 185Sahih (Darussalam)
It is known that the Fajr prayer has a recommended practice before it, which is between the adhan and the iqamah. The Zuhr prayer has a recommended practice before and after it, so the recommended practice before it is between the adhan and the iqamah. The 'Asr prayer does not have a regular recommended practice before it, but it is recommended to pray two rak'ahs. Likewise, the Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers do not have a regular recommended practice before them, but it is recommended to pray two rak'ahs between the adhan and the iqamah, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Between every two calls (to prayer) there is a Salat بين كل أذانين صلاة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 185Sahih (Darussalam)
.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
