Explanation of the Book of the Hearts-10b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, saying: Shu'ayb informed us, saying: Abu al-Zinad narrated to us from al-A'raj from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
It will be said to the people of Paradise, 'O people of Paradise! Eternity (for you) and no death,' and to the people of the Fire, 'O people of the Fire, eternity (for you) and no death!" يقال لأهل الجنة يا أهل الجنة خلود لا موت ولأهل النار يا أهل النار خلود لا موت
Sahih al-Bukhari 6545

The Shaykh : Allah is the Greatest. It is reported that they are called out: "O people of Paradise" and "O people of the Fire." They stretch their necks and look up. Then death is brought in the form of a ram, which I think is white. They are asked, "Do you know this?" They say, "Yes, this is death." It is slaughtered between Paradise and the Fire, and it is said: "O people of Paradise, [you have] eternal abode and no death. O people of the Fire, [you have] eternal abode and no death." This is from the power of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), that He makes a concept into a tangible body that is seen. The wisdom behind this is to increase their reassurance that they will not die, because the news is not like the actual sighting. When they see death slaughtered before their eyes, they are more reassured than by the news alone. This is similar to righteous deeds, which are weighed on the Scale on the Day of Resurrection, even though deeds, as we all know, are a conceptual matter that has ended and passed away. Yet they are weighed; they are made into bodies, and Allah (Mighty and Majestic) weighs them, balancing the good deeds against the bad deeds.
