What is the ruling on changing the color of the beard to black?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : His EminenceThe Shaykh : I have heard from some students of knowledge that changing the beard to black is permissible, so what is your opinion, may Allah reward you with good?

The Shaykh : I see that changing the beard to black is forbidden, even though some scholars have said: it is disliked with a mild dislike, and perhaps some of them said: it is contrary to what is best, but the correct view in my opinion is that it is forbidden, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the changing of white hair and said:
Keep away from black. جنبوه السواد
And because it was reported in the authentic hadith:
That in the end times there will come people who dye their beards black like the beak of a bird, or he said: like the beak of a crow, and they will not enter Paradise. أنه يأتي في آخر الزمان أقوامٌ يخضبون لحاهم بالسواد كخافية الطير أو قال: كخافية الغراب لا يدخلون الجنة
This is a severe warning that necessitates that dyeing it black is among the major sins. Then, there is an alternative to this, which is to dye it with a dye that is not pure black and not pure red, but rather a brownish color between black and red, and by doing so, one is safe from falling into sin, and one achieves the changing of the white hair that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) ordered.
