Is there a virtue in charity on the day of the festival in the hadith?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is there evidence in the hadith regarding the virtue of charity on the day of the festival?

The Shaykh : It is possible to say that this indicates the virtue of charity on the day of the festival to provide for the poor. It is also possible to say that zakat al-fitr is sufficient, based on the statement of Ibn 'Abbas in the authentic hadith: "It is a purification for the fasting person and food for the poor." However, it is said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded them to give charity due to the occasion, as they were present. Women most often came to the mosque on the day of the festival during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), because they were commanded to do so, including young girls who have not yet reached puberty, and menstruating women were commanded to do so, except that menstruating women should stay away from the prayer area.
