The Book of Friday Prayer, the Two Festivals, the Prayer for Rain, the Eclipse Prayer, and Funerals-06b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Ubayd Allah ibn Umar al-Qawariri, Bashir ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, al-Jurayri narrated to us from Abu al-‘Ala Hayyan ibn ‘Umayr from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Samurah, who said:
While I was shooting my arrows during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the sun was eclipsed. So I threw them away and said: “I will look at what happens to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the solar eclipse today.” So I came to him and found him raising his hands, making supplication, saying Allahu Akbar, praising Allah, and saying La ilaha illa Allah, until the sun was cleared. Then he recited two surahs and bowed in two rak‘ahs.
