Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, saying: Jarir narrated to us from al-A'mash from Ibrahim from Alqamah, who said:
I was walking with Abdullah ibn Mas'ud in Mina when he met Uthman ibn Affan, and he said, "Come, O Abu Abd al-Rahman." He said: So they withdrew to a private place. When Abdullah saw that he had no need of him, he said: He said to me, "Come, O Alqamah." He said: So I came, and Uthman said to him, "Shall we not marry you, O Abu Abd al-Rahman, a virgin girl? Perhaps what you used to know of your desire will return to you."
Then Abdullah said: "If you say that, then he mentioned it like the hadith of Abu Mu'awiyah".
