The Shaykh : The topic aids in translation and prevents error in it, and is one person sufficient for translation? We say: The correct view is that one person is sufficient, and the evidence for this is this hadith, which is from the action of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him). Another evidence is a hadith traced to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), in which he ordered Zayd ibn Thabit to learn the language of the Jews in order to translate the books that came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from them, and to write for them what issued from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Zayd ibn Thabit learned it in sixteen days because he was a young, intelligent, and quick learner. However, the Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) said: He only learned it in this short period because the Hebrew language is close to the Arabic language. In this hadith is also the fact that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) does not know the unseen, because he asked:
Who is the delegation? من الوفد ؟
And if he had known the unseen, he would not have needed to ask. In it is also the welcoming of those who arrive, especially those of status, because it is the norm that delegations are chosen from among the tribe, selecting their best, most noble, and most skilled. So in it is the welcoming of those of status, which is from the character of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and it is also from the character of the previous prophets, for on the night of the Ascension, the previous prophets were welcoming the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And his saying:
Not in disgrace or regret غير خزايا ولا الندامى
or
Nor regretful ولا ندامى
as in another wording. Disgrace is humiliation, and regret is sorrow for what has passed. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) described them as not being humiliated and having no regret, because they will be honored and exalted. Then he mentioned the rest of the hadith. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. His saying, "So command us with a decisive matter..." The saying of Allah the Exalted
(13) Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, (14) And it is not amusement. إنه لقول فصل وما هو بالهزل
[At-Tariq 86:13-14]
, on the basis that the word "saying" includes the Sunnah along with the Book?

The Shaykh : No, the "decisive" here means the clear.

The questioner : And in the verse?

The Shaykh : No, in the verse, "decisive" means that which separates the truth from the falsehood, and the serious from the joking. In another wording, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ashja' ibn al-Rabi' of Abd al-Qays. Ashja' is the one who has a scar on his face or head, and he was famous as Ashja'. He said: "In you are two qualities that Allah loves: forbearance and deliberation. Forbearance means not hastening in punishment, and deliberation means not hastening in judging things, but being careful with them. And Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, loves these two qualities, because the Messenger said: "Allah loves them." In a narration, it was said: "O Messenger of Allah, are they two qualities I have acquired, or has Allah created me with them?" He said: "Rather, Allah created you with them." He said: "Praise be to Allah who created me with what He loves." And this is joy in the blessing of Allah the Exalted. In it is also that it is recommended for a person to acquire these two qualities: forbearance and deliberation.
