The Shaykh : He said: "And faith in the Last Day is indicated by all the divine laws and is necessitated by the perfect wisdom of Allah, and none denies it except one who is stubbornly arrogant or insane." Faith in the Last Day is indicated by all the divine laws; every heavenly book has affirmed the Last Day, and every one who claims affiliation with the heavenly religions believes in it.
Also, wisdom necessitates it. The point is this: It is the height of foolishness for this creation to be brought into existence, messengers to be sent to it, books to be revealed to it, and the blood, wealth, and women of some of them to be made lawful for others to fight over in the religion of Allah, only for the end to be death without resurrection. What is this? Huh? It is foolishness. What is the benefit now? If there were not a Day in which the workers are rewarded for what they did, the creation of the universe would be in vain. No one would think this of Allah except a disbeliever. Allah the Exalted said:
And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them
[Al-Hijr 15:85]
What comes after that?
That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire.
[Sad 38:27]
(38) And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. (39) We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know.
[Ad-Dukhan 44:38-39]
What comes after that? Huh?
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - إن يوم الفصل ميقاتهم أجمعين
[Ad-Dukhan 44:40]
When He denied that He played and that He created them only with the truth, He made clear that this has a purpose:
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - إن يوم الفصل ميقاتهم أجمعين
[Ad-Dukhan 44:40]
(36) Does man think that he will be left neglected? (37) Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted? (38) Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him] (39) And made of him two mates, the male and the female.
[Al-Qiyamah 75:36-39]
What comes after that?
Is He not able to give life to the dead?
So, this creation and these divine laws did not come except for the Last Day. If they had come only for people to kill one another, take one another captive, and take one another's wealth, and the result was that they all die and the earth swallows them, that would be the most foolish of foolishness.
So, faith in the Last Day is necessitated by the divine laws, and what comes after that? By wisdom and reason, and none denies it except one who is stubbornly arrogant or insane.
Who is the stubbornly arrogant one? The stubbornly arrogant one is the one who opposes and does not accept, no matter what.
And the insane one is one who has lost his reason.
As for the sane person, his reason guides him to the necessity of the existence of the Last Day, and that it is an absolute requirement.
And among the wisdom of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and His mercy toward us is that He established this Last Day with several rational and sensory proofs, because faith in the Last Day is what drives a person to perform acts of obedience and abandon sins; otherwise, no one would believe. And success is from Allah.
