Then Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Ahzab: 19] to the end of it. In this verse is evidence of the stinginess of the hypocrites with what benefits the believers, and that they do not come to them except with reluctance, like the stingy person in gathering wealth, as He said:
Among the benefits is the cowardice of the hypocrites, and that they are at the extreme of cowardice, as He said:[Al-Ahzab 33:19] to the end of it. And by this we know that they are the most deserving of the people of the description with which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions were described, where they said: “We have not seen anyone like these Quraysh; they are the most greedy for food, the most lying in their tongues, and the most cowardly when meeting in battle.” So we say: these descriptions, you are the most deserving of them. Yes.
Among the benefits of the noble verse is the intensity of the panic of the hypocrites when fear comes, because their depiction in this image indicates the great panic that befalls them when fear comes.
Among the benefits of the noble verse is also the intensity of the love of the hypocrites for life, because they are the ones who reached the extent of fear due to their eagerness for life and their fear of death through fighting.
Among the benefits of the noble verse is the strength of the Qur'an's depiction of occurring situations, because these images that Allah mentioned are astonishing images that make a person imagine the intensity of their panic as if it were seen with the eye. Yes.
Among the benefits of the noble verse is that death has agony, as He said: This is with regard to ordinary death, but sudden death may not have agony; a person may die suddenly, as happens in accidents, heart stops, and the like.
Indisposed toward you. And when fear comes, you see them looking at you
