This is because knowing the rulings of the Shari'ah is a very great matter. When a person knows the wisdom of the legal rulings, his heart is enlightened more, he is more convinced by the legal rulings, and he knows more of the attributes of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and His wisdom. He is also able to convince whom? He can convince the opponent, because if you say to the opponents, for example, "This is forbidden because the Qur'an forbade it," they may not be among those who believe in the Qur'an and are reassured by it. But if you have knowledge of the wisdom of the Shari'ah, you can convince this person. Therefore, knowing the wisdom, the wisdom of the Shari'ah, is very important. In fact, most of the analogical reasoning (qiyas) came from knowing the wisdom, because it is attaching a branch to a root in a ruling for a common cause. And on this basis, one might say that the intended meaning of wisdom is what is known of the secrets of the rulings of the Shari'ah and their wisdom.
