The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((Except for the servants of Allah who are sincere))
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
And in His saying, the Exalted, [As-Saffat 37:40] there is an indication that the sincere one, or the one who is made sincere, and the two are intertwined: their sincerity and Allah’s sincerity toward them, until its outcome is salvation. Its aspect is the exception, [As-Saffat 37:40] for these people’s outcome is salvation, and their outcome is praiseworthy.
And among its benefits is the exhortation for a person to be among these servants so that he may be saved.
And among its benefits is the virtue of sincerity, due to His saying,[As-Saffat 37:40] and sincerity, as you know, is what we were commanded to do, [Al-Bayyinah 98:5] [Ghafir 40:14] [Az-Zumar 39:2] Now, sincerity, as has passed before us, is the removal of all impurities in worship.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is the honoring of these sincere ones. Why? By attaching their servitude to Allah. For there is no doubt that what is attached to Allah attains honor. Therefore, Allah honored His House by attaching it to Him, and He said, and Allah honored the mosques by attaching them to Him.
[Al-Baqarah 2:114] And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named them the houses of Allah, Sunan Abi Dawud 1455Sahih (Al-Albani) and this is without doubt an honor for the attached thing. Yes.
And among the benefits of the noble verse is the clarification of Allah’s favor upon these servants, where He made them sincere for Himself, so that they had no purpose except Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. Now, if someone asks, “Do these servants not have a purpose? They eat with purpose, drink with purpose, and enjoy dwellings and women with purpose. So, has the purpose of other than Allah entered into their purposes? What is the answer?” The answer is that they draw near to Allah with this purpose. For example, in eating, a person eats out of desire, without doubt, and to remove necessity, but this eating can be an act of worship in several ways: First, if he intends by it to obey the command of Allah, for Allah commanded eating and drinking.
Second, if he intends by it to preserve his health and maintain his strength, for a person is commanded to take care of himself. Allah the Exalted said,[An-Nisa 4:29] The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2413Sahih (Darussalam) If they intend by it to seek assistance through eating and drinking in the obedience of Allah, especially if it is a direct assistance, as in his saying, peace and blessings be upon him, Sunan Ibn Majah 1692Sahih (Darussalam)
The fourth is if he intends by it to be generous with the blessings of Allah, for Allah loves that His servant be generous with His blessing, for the generous one loves that people be generous with his generosity. And the most honorable time for the generous one is when guests knock on his door so that he may honor them. Is that not so? But the miser is the opposite; when the door is knocked on, he says, “There is nothing available.” Yes, but the second one opens his door to people; he rejoices when people come and are generous with his hospitality. So, a person’s intention to enjoy the blessing of Allah and be generous with it is without doubt a means of drawing near to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, for Allah loves, when He bestows a blessing, to see the effect of His blessing upon him. May Allah forgive me.
But not the chosen servants of Allah.
إلا عباد الله المخلصينBut not the chosen servants of Allah.
إلا عباد الله المخلصينAnd among its benefits is the exhortation for a person to be among these servants so that he may be saved.
And among its benefits is the virtue of sincerity, due to His saying,
But not the chosen servants of Allah.
إلا عباد الله المخلصينAnd they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion
وما أمروا إلا ليعبدوا الله مخلصين له الدينSo invoke Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion
فادعوا الله مخلصين له الدينSo worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion.
فاعبد الله مخلصا له الدينAnd among the benefits of the noble verse is the honoring of these sincere ones. Why? By attaching their servitude to Allah. For there is no doubt that what is attached to Allah attains honor. Therefore, Allah honored His House by attaching it to Him, and He said,
and purify My House
وطهر بيتيAnd who are more unjust than those who prevent
ومن أظلم ممن منع مساجد اللهNo people get together in a house of the houses of Allah

And do not kill yourselves [or one another]
ولا تقتلوا أنفسكمIndeed your self has a right upon you
إن لنفسك عليك حقاEat Suhur, for in Suhur there is a blessing.
تسحروا فإن في السحور بركةThe fourth is if he intends by it to be generous with the blessings of Allah, for Allah loves that His servant be generous with His blessing, for the generous one loves that people be generous with his generosity.
