The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((Indeed, We have revealed to you the Book in truth, so worship Allah with sincere devotion to Him.))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
In these two verses, there are benefits:
First: The virtue of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the elevation of his rank, which is indicated by the revelation of the Book of Allah to him, as He said:
Indeed, We have revealed to you
[An-Nisa 4:105]
. Now, here we ask: Is the revelation of the Qur'an to the Messenger also a revelation to us? Yes, it is a revelation to us, because he is our Messenger, and Allah the Exalted said:
O mankind, there has come to you a conclusive proof from your Lord, and We have sent down to you a clear light.
[An-Nisa 4:174]
So, what is revealed to the Messenger of Allah is revealed to us, but he is the one directly addressed by this revelation, and he conveys it to us.
Among the benefits of the verse is what has been mentioned previously: that the Qur'an is revealed from Allah, and thus it is His speech.
And among them is: The elevation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), because descent only occurs from above. The Book, the Sunnah, reason, and fitrah (the innate natural disposition) indicate this; these are five types of evidence, all of which establish the elevation of Allah above His creation. Two groups have opposed this: The first group is the group of the *Hululiyyah* (those who believe in the indwelling of Allah in creation), who say that Allah, by His essence, is in every place. They say: Allah, by His essence, (Glorified and Exalted is He) is in every place: in the mosque, in the market, in the house, on the roof, in the room, in the ugliest place, and I seek refuge in Allah from that. I say that they are disbelievers, but if one is interpreting the texts, it is obligatory to inform him and clarify the truth to him; if he persists, then he is a disbeliever. Now, the second opposing group is the *Mu'attilah* (those who deny the divine attributes) who deny [His attributes], saying that Allah the Exalted is not above, nor below, nor to the right, nor to the left, nor connected, nor separated. What are these people? They described Allah with non-existence, as Mahmud ibn Subakhtakin (may Allah have mercy on him) said to Ibn Furok when he said: "Allah is neither existent nor non-existent," and so on. Mahmud ibn Subakhtakin said to him: "You have described Allah the Exalted with non-existence". And he was truthful; if we wanted to describe a non-existent thing, we would not find a description more comprehensive than this description of non-existence. Now, may Allah guide those who believe to the truth in which they differed, by His permission, and they said: Allah the Exalted is Himself above everything, as indicated by the Book, the Sunnah, scholarly consensus, reason, and fitrah.
And among the benefits of this verse is that the Book is truth from Allah; the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not fabricate it against his Lord, but it is from Allah, as He said:
We revealed the Book in truth
, meaning that it is truth from Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) said:
(44) And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings, (45) We would have seized him by the right hand; (46) Then We would have cut from him the aorta.
[Al-Haqqah 69:44-46]
. There is no harm in us discussing this verse. He said:
And if Muhammad had made up about Us
[Al-Haqqah 69:44]
after He said:
(40) [That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger. (41) And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe. (42) Nor the word of a soothsayer; little do you remember. (43) [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. (44) And if Muhammad had made up about Us
[Al-Haqqah 69:40-44]
, so that no one who is mistaken might think that because He said
the word of a noble Messenger.
[Al-Haqqah 69:40]
, the Qur'an is from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and that he is the one who said it. So He said:
(44) And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings, (45) We would have seized him by the right hand; (46) Then We would have cut from him the aorta. (47) And there is no one of you who could prevent [Us] from him.
[Al-Haqqah 69:44-47]
.
And among the benefits of this verse is that everything in the Qur'an is truth. In the second sense: its reports, its stories, its commands, and its prohibitions. Thus, its reports contain no lie in any way. Its stories are not intended to waste time or kill time, but they are beneficial stories. The rest will come, if Allah wills.
The student: I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. Know that the pure religion belongs to Allah alone. And those who take others besides Him as allies say, “We do not worship them except to bring us closer to Allah in nearness.” Indeed, Allah will judge between them regarding that in which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide one who is a liar and a disbeliever. Had Allah willed to take a son, He would have chosen from among that which He creates whatever He willed. Glorified is He! He is Allah, the One, the Subduer. He created the heavens and the earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night, and He subjected the sun and the moon; each runs for a specified term. Know that He is the Exalted, the Forgiver.
