The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “And indeed, Noah called Us, so We responded to him.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. ولقد نادانا نوح فلنعم المجيبون
[As-Saffat 37:75]
to the end of it. Among the benefits of this verse are:
The explanation of the emphasis of a matter by oath when the need for it arises, and that this is among the eloquent forms of speech, because Allah the Exalted and Exalted is He emphasized this with the oath and the letter lam, and
Among its benefits is the encouragement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and others to supplicate to Allah the Exalted and Exalted is He, and that when Allah’s servant calls upon Him with supplication, He responds to him.
Among its benefits is the affirmation of Allah’s hearing, based on His saying:
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. ولقد نادانا نوح فلنعم المجيبون
[As-Saffat 37:75]
, and there is no response except after hearing.
Among its benefits is the praise of Noah (peace be upon him), and that is by his turning to his Lord when difficulties befall him.
Among the benefits of His saying:
So We responded to him. فلنعم المجيبون
is the praise of Allah the Exalted and Exalted is He for the perfection of His response, because praising the responder necessitates praising the response. So the response of Allah the Mighty and Majestic is not like the response of others; rather, it is a response of grace and kindness, in which He may give a person more than what he asked for.
Among its benefits is the explanation of the mercy of Allah the Exalted and Exalted is He in responding to the supplication of the supplicant, and the explanation of His power to respond to the supplication, because response necessitates the power to respond, for the incapable one cannot possibly respond.
Among its benefits is the explanation of the greatness of Allah, and that is by the coming of the letter waw in His attribute in His saying “the Responders.” Indeed, this is certainly not for plurality, because Allah is One, but it is for magnification.
