Machine translationRead the Arabic original
For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of Allah is spacious للذين أحسنوا في هذه الدنيا حسنة وأرضُ الله واسعة
[Az-Zumar 39:10]
the earth of Allah spacious أرض الله واسعة
[An-Nisa 4:97]
What is the connection between
the earth of Allah spacious أرض الله واسعة
[An-Nisa 4:97]
and
For those who do good in this world is good للذين أحسنوا في هذه الدنيا حسنة
[An-Nahl 16:30]
? The connection is that among the forms of excellence in this world is emigration, without doubt, because emigration is one of the greatest indicators of the sincerity of the doer, since the emigrant leaves his family, his homeland, his tribe, and his wealth for what? For Allah. They emigrate to Allah. This is the connection. And His saying, the Exalted:
the earth of Allah spacious أرض الله واسعة
[An-Nisa 4:97]
So emigrate to it from among the disbelievers and witnessing what is wrong. True is Allah, Mighty and Majestic:
the earth of Allah spacious أرض الله واسعة
[An-Nisa 4:97]
If the earth becomes narrow for you one day, then there is spaciousness. Go out and you will be safe in your religion and your honor, and do not be stingy with your wealth, your home, your family, and your tribe, for the religion is more precious than all of that. And his saying:
the earth of Allah spacious أرض الله واسعة
[An-Nisa 4:97]
Now, was the home they were in narrow? Yes, it was narrow, but it was a spiritual narrowness. However, its narrowness is a spiritual narrowness, because spaciousness and narrowness in reality are in the heart. How many a person is in a narrow house, its rooms the size of his bed, and you find him happy and his chest open. And how many a person is in built palaces, but he is in narrowness and grief. So the spaciousness of the earth is very clear for the emigrant, because his remaining means witnessing what is wrong and witnessing what hurts him and what pains him. Without doubt, this is narrowness. Then He said, the Exalted:
Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account." إنما يوفى الصابرون أجرهم بغير حساب
[Az-Zumar 39:10]
Only the patient will be given.إنما يوفى
meaning it is given, and
Actions are onlyإنما
is a tool of restriction, and the meaning is: The patient will not be given their reward except without account, meaning a great reward, greater than the deeds. And his saying:
The patient will be given. يوفى الصابرون
Why did he say: the patient, and they are the ones being given?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Why did he say the patient, and they are the ones being given, and not say: the patients?
The student: ..

The Shaykh : Meaning in terms of grammar.
The student: The doer

The Shaykh : Is it the doer, the doer, or the object? Is it being given, or giving?
The student: Being given.

The Shaykh : Now, why did he say: the patient, and it is known that the object is to be in the accusative case, so it should be said: the patients? Good! You are coming, may Allah reward you with good.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : No, we do not accept it. If half the lesson has passed, there is no participation for the latecomer.
The student: ... after, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Where...?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Now, answer.
The student: Because it is the substitute for the doer.

The Shaykh : Because it is the substitute for the doer.
The student: "Yufa" is built for the unknown.

The Shaykh : So it is the substitute for the doer. And the substitute for the doer is an object in meaning, but a doer in form. That is to say, its meaning is that it is parsed as a doer, but in meaning it is an object. Ibn Malik said:
An object takes the place of a doer in what is passive, like "Good was obtained by the one who obtains."
Did you understand? Now, and his saying:
The patient. الصابرون
The author said: "for obedience and what they are tested with" He mentioned two types of the types of patience, and one remained for him, which is patience against the disobedience of Allah. Unless it is said that obedience in the general sense includes complying with the command and avoiding the prohibition, in which case the author has completed the types of patience. The types of patience are three: patience with the obedience of Allah, patience against the disobedience of Allah, and patience with the painful decrees of Allah. Three. The highest is patience with the obedience of Allah, then patience against the disobedience of Allah, then patience with the decrees of Allah. This is in terms of the type of patience itself. As for the patient person, sometimes a person suffers more from patience against disobedience than he suffers from patience with obedience. And likewise, patience with affliction; he may suffer from it more than he suffers from patience against disobedience and with obedience. But we say, in terms of the type: the type of patience, regardless of the patient, which is the best?
The student: Patience with obedience.

The Shaykh : Patience with obedience, then against disobedience, then with the decrees. Why? Because patience with obedience requires mental effort and physical effort, correct?
The student: ...
