How do two letters combine to indicate the cause?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : How do the two letters combine to indicate the cause?

The Shaykh : Yes, how do two witnesses agree on a single witnessed matter? The multiplicity of causes does not necessitate the multiplicity of the effect. Is that clear?

The Shaykh : Because they are the ones who claim to pray, they claim to pray, they give zakah, and they are actually praying and purifying, but they did not believe in the messengers.
I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan,
And from those who say, "We are Christians" We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded. So We caused among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah is going to inform them about what they used to do. ومن الذين قالوا إنا نصارى أخذنا ميثاقهم فنسوا حظا مما ذكروا به فأغرينا بينهم العداوة والبغضاء إلى يوم القيمة فسوف ينبئهم الله بما كانوا يصنعون
[Al-Ma'idah 5:14]

I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan, Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:
And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant فبما نقضهم ميثاقهم ...
[An-Nisa 4:155]
We have already spoken about this and its benefits, did we not complete it? Good.
