Machine translationRead the Arabic original
"
A powerful one from among the jinn said قَالَ عِفْريتٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ
[Surat al-Naml:39] He is the strong, the mighty "
.
The strong, mighty ifrit, and this meaning still exists today. If we say: so-and-so is an ifrit, we mean: strong and mighty, or we say something more emphatic than that.
A powerful one from among the jinn said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place, and indeed, I am for this [task] strong and trustworthy." قَالَ عِفْريتٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ أَنَا آتِيكَ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقُومَ مِنْ مَقَامِكَ وَإِنِّي عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِيٌّ أَمِينٌ
[Surat al-Naml:39].
Is "I bring" (aati) a noun of the doer or a verb?
The student: A verb.

The Shaykh : What do you say?
The student: Yes, a verb.

The Shaykh : What is the opposite of the noun of the doer from "to come" (ata)?
The student: Aati.

The Shaykh : Every "aati" is near, and here?
The student: .... The hamza is originally "a'at".

The Shaykh : Meaning: Is it appropriate for me to say: I will bring it to you before you rise from your place?
The student: It is appropriate.

The Shaykh : It is correct, but it appears to be a verb because this action is among the verbs.
The student: .... the ba ...

The Shaykh : No. Even this: I am bringing it.
I will bring it to you أَنَا آتِيكَ بِهِ
[Surat al-Naml:39] But the closer view is that it is a verb, which is supported by the fact that the original for actions are verbs, and the kaf is a dependent because it is the object of the preposition, so this is the original... Is this a marginal note by al-Sa'adi? What is it?...
He said: "
I will bring it to you before you rise from your place أَنَا آتِيكَ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقُومَ مِنْ مَقَامِكَ
[An-Naml 27:39]
The place where you sit for judgment, which is from dawn to midday "
.
There is no evidence for this; this is among the matters for which there is no evidence. But his saying:
before you rise from your place قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقُومَ مِنْ مَقَامِكَ
[An-Naml 27:39]
The meaning is: I will bring it to you quickly, and this is a known style. I will answer before you rise; this style still exists today.
So the meaning is: I will bring it to you quickly.
"
And indeed I am over it وَإِنِّي عَلَيْهِ
Meaning: on this throne
Strong لَقَوِيٌّ
Meaning: on carrying it
Trustworthy أَمِينٌ
[Surat al-Naml:39] Meaning: on what is in it of jewels and others "
.
When he said: I will bring it to you, this is a statement, but it needs confirmation for this matter that he will bring it before you rise from your place, so he said:
and indeed, I am for this [task] strong وَإِنِّي عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِيٌّ
[An-Naml 27:39]
And I am not weak, but rather I will bring it with this speed.
And also
Trustworthy أَمِينٌ
[Surat al-Naml:39] Meaning: I will not betray it in any way, neither regarding the throne itself nor regarding what is in it of jewels and others.
And these two descriptions are needed by every worker, as Allah Blessed and Exalted is He said about the daughter of the owner of Madyan:
Indeed the best of those you hire is the strong, the trustworthy إِنَّ خَيْرَ مَنِ اسْتَأْجَرْتَ الْقَوِيُّ الأَمِينُ
[Surat al-Qasas:26] And these two descriptions are required in every work, because if strength is lacking, the work will not be good due to weakness, and if strength is present but trustworthiness is lacking, the work will also fail due to betrayal.
" Solomon said: I want something faster than that " Who said it? There is no evidence for it.
