The questioner : Her second question: Is it permissible for a woman to wear colored clothing, such as white, green, or black, during Hajj?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is permissible for a woman in the state of ihram to wear whatever clothing she wishes, provided she does not display her adornment before non-mahram men. This is because there is no specific clothing prescribed for a woman in ihram, unlike the man. The man is not allowed to wear a shirt, trousers, a turban, a cloak, or leather socks. As for the woman, what is forbidden for her is wearing gloves and the face veil. Yes.

The questioner : This message reached us from the Iraqi Republic, Tarmiyah Governorate, sent by one of the gentlemen from there.
