Is it permissible for a woman to wear lawful black clothing during her state of ihram instead of white, and to wear it in her home?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible for a woman to wear lawful black clothing during her state of ihram for Hajj instead of white clothing? Knowing that she wears it from her home? And did the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) or the women of the Companions wear white clothing during the state of ihram? I ask for your guidance.

The Shaykh : When a woman enters the state of ihram, she is not like a man who wears specific clothing, an izar and a rida. Rather, the woman wears whatever she wishes from the clothes that are permissible for her to wear before entering ihram. She may wear black, red, yellow, green, or whatever she wishes. As for white, I do not know that it is required for a woman to enter ihram in white. In fact, white is a form of tabarruj (display of adornment), because white clothing gives a woman beauty and causes the gaze to be drawn to her. Therefore, it is better and more complete for her to wear black clothing with an abaya. She may wear socks for her feet. As for gloves, which are coverings for the hands, it is not permissible for her to wear them. She must cover her face when men approach her so that it is not exposed to non-mahram men who are not her close relatives. In this case, she covers her face, and it does not harm her if the covering touches her skin, contrary to the opinion of some scholars who say that she should cover her face with a barrier that does not touch her skin. That opinion is weak and has no evidence for it. However, she does not wear a niqab, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
He forbade the woman in ihram from wearing a niqab نهى المُحرمة أن تنتقب
.
The conclusion is that the clothing of a woman when she enters ihram should be black or something similar that deters the gaze from being drawn to her. Yes.
