The reader: "And it established therein what exalts Allah and brings down mercy therein, especially the greater festival, what is in the welfare of creation, as indicated by His saying, the Exalted: [Al-Hajj 22:27]"
The Shaykh : His saying means on their feet, and means riding on every lean camel, yes.
The reader: "[Al-Hajj 22:28] So what the souls find spacious therein of natural customs becomes an aid for their benefiting from what was specifically designated, what was specifically designated, what was specifically designated of the legislated acts of worship. If the souls are given their share, or part of it, in a day other than that day, which is what occurs in the festival of Allah, they become indifferent to the desire for the festival of Allah, and what was for them, and what was for them, in them of love and exaltation is removed. Consequently, the impact of righteous deeds therein is diminished, and the souls suffer a clear loss.
The least of the degrees is this: if you suppose two men, one whose concern for the festival is focused on what is prescribed, and the other who is concerned with this and that, you will necessarily find that the one who is pure in his devotion to what is prescribed has a greater concern for it than the one who mixes it with other things. And whoever does not realize this is due to his negligence or turning away, and this is a matter known by one who knows some of the secrets of the legislations.
As for the feeling of the waning of desire, everyone finds it. Indeed, we find that when a man clothes his children or expands their provisions in some of the fabricated festivals, the sanctity of the approved festival must decrease in their hearts. Even if it were said, 'But in the hearts is what accommodates both,' it would be said, 'If you had been pure for one of them, it would have been more complete.'"
And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass -
