Reading from the author's text with commentary and collation of manuscripts: "The fourth aspect: that festivals and seasons, in general,

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: "The fourth aspect: that festivals and seasons, in general, have a great benefit in the religion and worldly affairs of creation, just as their benefit in prayer, zakah, and Hajj"

The Shaykh : And fasting, and zakah, and fasting
The reader: I don't have it, O Shaykh

The Shaykh : Add it
The reader: "Just as their benefit in prayer, zakah, fasting, and Hajj. For this reason, every law brought them, as Allah the Exalted said
And for all religion We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. ولكل أمة جعلنا منسكا ليذكروا اسم الله على ما رزقهم من بهيمة الأنعام
[Al-Hajj 22:34]
And He said
For every religion We have appointed rites which they perform لكل أمة جعلنا منسكا هم ناسكوه
[Al-Hajj 22:67]
Then Allah legislated, through the tongue of the Seal of the Prophets, from the deeds what is in the well-being of creation in the most perfect ways, and that is the perfection mentioned in His saying:
This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you اليوم أكملت لكم دينكم وأتممت عليكم نعمتي
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
For this reason, Allah revealed this verse on the greatest of the festivals of the Hanifiyyah community; for there is no festival in this type greater than the festival in which place and time meet, which is the Festival of Sacrifice, and there is no day among the days of this type greater than the day on which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) established it for the general Muslim community, and Allah the Exalted has negated disbelief and its people. The laws which are, and Allah the Exalted has negated disbelief and its people. The laws which are the food and sustenance of the hearts, as Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, and it is narrated as marfu': "Indeed, every feast is loved"

The Shaykh : Feast
The reader: "
Indeed, every feast is loved, and the feast of Allah is the Qur'an إن كل آدب يحب أن تؤتى مأدبته وإن مأدبة الله هي القرآن
And it is the nature of the body, if it is"

The Shaykh : When was this verse revealed?
This day I have perfected for you your religion اليوم أكملت لكم دينكم
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]

The reader: On the Day of 'Arafah

The Shaykh : Yes, on the Day of 'Arafah. It is the introduction to the Festival of Sacrifice, and it is the greatest gathering in which Muslims meet, because on this day all Muslims are gathered, and no one has strayed from them. On the Day of Sacrifice, there is no doubt that it is a gathering, but you will find this one stoning the pillar, and that one descending to circumambulate the House, and another going to seek the sacrifice, and so on. But a gathering for one unified action does not exist except in 'Arafah. Yes.
The reader: "And it is the nature of the body, if it is hungry and it takes from food what it needs, it becomes self-sufficient from other food, so that it does not eat it if it eats of it except with aversion and hardship, and perhaps its eating of it harms it, or it does not benefit from it, and it did not"

The Shaykh : And did not, do you have it with a waw or a lam?
The reader: Or

The Shaykh : Better, yes
The reader: "Or it does not benefit from it, and it was not, and it was not the nourisher that sustains its body. So if the servant takes from other than the prescribed deeds some of his need, his desire for the prescribed and his benefit from it decrease by the amount he substituted from other things, unlike the one who directs his appetite and effort to the prescribed, for his love of it is magnified"

The Shaykh : For his love of it is magnified
The reader: It says in my printed copy: "And his religion is completed by it"

The Shaykh : No, we haven't reached that
The reader: For

The Shaykh :"For his love of it is magnified and his benefit from it, and his religion is completed"
The reader: It says in mine: "In jim and dal, you know, for you know his love of it and his benefit from it"

The Shaykh : And what do you have in the original?
The reader: In the original, it says: For his love of it is magnified

The Shaykh : There is a yaa between the dhad and the mim
The reader: Listen

The Shaykh : There is a yaa between the dhad and the mim
The reader: Yes, yes, yes

The Shaykh : No, what we have is more correct: For his love of it is magnified
The reader: "For his love of it is magnified and his benefit from it, and his religion is completed, and his Islam is perfected. Therefore, you will find that the one who listens to poems more, seeking the rectification of his heart, his desire to listen to the Qur'an decreases, until he perhaps hates it. And the one who listens more to"
