The listener asks: What is the ruling on insulting the Islamic religion?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The listener asks: What is the ruling on insulting the Islamic religion?

The Shaykh : Insulting the Islamic religion is disbelief, because insulting the Islamic religion is an insult to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He).

The questioner : Glorified is He.

The Shaykh : For the Islamic religion is the religion with which Allah sent His Messenger, and it is the one He chose for His servants as a religion. So if a person insults it, he has insulted Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and attacked His wisdom and choice. He has also insulted the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), for he is the bearer of the message and the bearer of this religion. So it is disbelief, may Allah protect us from it.
