Continuation of the explanation of the verse [Al-An'am: 59].

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
Not a leaf falls but that He knows it وما تسقط من ورقة إلا يعلمها
[Al-An'am 6:59]
Who من
This is an extra word, but it is extra only in terms of grammar; as for the meaning, it is for emphasis. That is to say, no leaf falls except that He knows it, whatever the leaf may be, in whatever place, whether small or large, whether living or dry. And if He knows what falls from the leaves, then a fortiori He knows what is newly created from the leaves, is that not so? Good.
And His saying
Does He not know it? الا يعلمها
, does the meaning refer to knowing this leaf, or knowing the leaf and the place of its falling and the time of its falling?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : The second, because the place and time are also connected to the leaf itself. So He, Mighty and Majestic, knows the leaf that falls: whether it is large or small, dry or moist. And He also knows the place of its falling and the time of its falling.
And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth ولا حبة في ظلمات الأرض
[Al-An'am 6:59]
And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth ولا حبة في ظلمات الأرض
[Al-An'am 6:59]
A large grain or a small one, encompassing the small and the large.
within the darknesses of the earth في ظلمات الأرض
[Al-An'am 6:59]
The plural of darkness, and the minimum for the plural is three. So what are the darknesses? Let us start with the brother.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Come on, let's go, the first one.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Let us suppose that a grain is submerged at the bottom of the sea. Come on, finish it.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : And what are the darknesses? This is the darkness of the water. The second one, what is it? You.
The student: I

The Shaykh : 'Abd al-Jalil.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : The darkness of the night. Good. The third one, the one next to it.
The student: I

The Shaykh : Yes, you.
The student: The darknesses of the waves of the sea.

The Shaykh : Did we mention them or not? ... The brother said the darknesses of the sea. Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Say, my brother, the one behind you, here. I mean, let us suppose that there is a cloud. This is the darkness of the cloud. Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Good, well done. The mud, the mud in which it was submerged. These are four.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : What?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : What?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : No, a grain in the darknesses of the earth. And what about these in the wombs? No, because it is in the darknesses of the earth. We want, I mean, the broadest possible of the darknesses. Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : What?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : The rock.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : The rock.
The student: The rock.

The Shaykh : The rock.
The student: The stone.

The Shaykh : Yes, what is it? We said this... in the mud.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Enough of that.
The student: The rain.

The Shaykh : The rain. Did we mention it or not? So the rain, the rain, because there is no doubt that when the rain descends, it produces darkness.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes, what is it?
The student: The dust.

The Shaykh : The dust. It could be the haze, even though the general rule is that if there is rain, there is no dust.
The student: ... water ...

The Shaykh : No, no, from the sea. So a dark night, in the cloud, dark with the descent of the rain, the water of the sea, what is it? The mud in which the grain was submerged. Five darknesses. He, Mighty and Majestic, knows this grain in all these darknesses.
no moist or dry [thing] ولا رطب ولا يابس
[Al-An'am 6:59]
This is the most comprehensive of all things, either moist or dry.
but that it is [written] in a clear record. إلا في كتاب مبين
[Al-An'am 6:59]
If someone were to say, does not the saying of Allah the Exalted
and He is Knowing of all things. وهو بكل شيء عليم
[Al-Baqarah 2:29]
suffice for this? We say, yes, it suffices, but the detail is more impactful on the hearts and clearer in generalization. For this reason, this verse came in detail. And His saying
but that it is [written] in a clear record. الا في كتاب مبين
[Al-An'am 6:59]
, what is meant by the clear Book? The brother, yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : The Preserved Tablet. That is enough, we stop here because the time has ended.
The student: The time has not ended.

The Shaykh : how
The student: ...

The Shaykh : How much is this?
The student: ... and a half ... now and a half minute, and it will end, and a half and five.

The Shaykh : There is no god but Allah. Now, the first one, did you know its end?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh : And the second one is at nine and five.
The student: At ... and thirty, and the third is at thirty ... and five and thirty.

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah. Now, the second one is at how much? Nine and five.
The student: Nine and five.

The Shaykh : Good, the third one is at nine and a half.
The student: No, at nine and a half and five.

The Shaykh : Yes, no, no ... let's change it to twenty-five minutes, and what about the fourth one as well?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Twenty-five minutes, at ten minus five.
The student: Yes, and five.

The Shaykh : And the fifth one ...
The student: Twenty-five.

The Shaykh : No, we set it at twenty. We may have deducted ten minutes from you.
The student: Start, there is no harm, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Good, how do you prefer?
