Explanation of the Book of Sales-14

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever accepts back what he sold to a Muslim, Allah will forgive his fault. من أقال مسلماً بيعته أقال الله عثرته
Bulugh al-Maram 7:57
It was narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah, and it was graded authentic by Ibn Hibban and al-Hakim"
:
In my copy, it says: This hadith is number 845, its place is at the beginning of the chapter on Option in correct copies, so let it be verified. In any case, it does not matter.
This hadith says:
Whoever accepts back what he sold to a Muslim من أقال مسلمًا بيعته
Bulugh al-Maram 7:57
And *iqlah* is the request to annul the contract. Sometimes it is requested by the buyer, and sometimes it is requested by the seller. Sometimes the buyer comes to the seller and says: "Forgive me my sale," meaning the buyer regrets the purchase and asks the seller to forgive him. And sometimes it is the opposite; the request comes from the seller, who regrets the sale, so he comes to the buyer and says: "Forgive me my sale." The hadith covers both cases.
So whoever forgives a Muslim his sale فمن أقال مسلما بيعته
That is, the sale that took place between them.
Allah will forgive his slip أقال الله عثرته
His slip in matters of this world, or his slip in matters of this world and the Hereafter? We say: It covers both matters, and the favor of Allah is vast. Forgiving a slip is undoubtedly a desirable thing for everyone, since none of us is free from slips. So if Allah forgives our slips, that is a great favor. A person should not neglect it.
And the issue is very easy. And his saying:
Whoever forgives a Muslim من أقال مسلما
: Is it the same if he forgives a *dhimmi*? The answer: Yes, and the mention of the Muslim is based on the common case. This is supported by the fact that in some hadiths, in some of their wordings:
Whoever forgives a regretful person his sale من أقال نادِمًا بيعته
Sahih Ibn Hibban 26:126
: It includes the Muslim and the non-Muslim.
