Explanation of the Book of Sales-20

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then the author (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "And from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza and 'Abdullah ibn Abi Awfah (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said:
We were getting a portion of the spoils of war along with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), and some Nabateans (Arabs who mixed with non-Arabs and corrupted their language and lineage) from those of Syria used to come to us and we would pay in advance to them for wheat, barley and raisins كنا نصيب المغانم مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، وكان يأتينا أنباط من أنباط الشام ، فنسلفهم في الحنطة والشعير والزبيب
Bulugh al-Maram 7:93
.
In a narration:
and olive oil' - for a specified fixed time." It was asked, "Did they have standing crop?" They replied, "We were not asking them about that." والزيت ، إلى أجل مسمى ، قيل : أكان لهم زرع ؟ قالا : ما كنا نسألهم عن ذلك

:
Now he says:
We were getting a portion of the spoils of war along with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) كنا نصيب المغانم مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
Bulugh al-Maram 7:93
: War spoils: the plural of ghanimah, and originally it is what a person acquires without exchange, called ghanimah.
And in the Shari'ah: "What is taken from the wealth of the disbelievers by fighting and what is attached to it", what is taken from the wealth of the disbelievers by fighting and what is attached to it is ghanimah, but taking from them by way of theft, plundering, and the like is not ghanimah, and the disbelievers meant here are the hostile ones, as for the treaty-bound, the safe-conduct holders, and the dhimmis, their wealth is forbidden.
