Explanation of the Book: The Beginning of Revelation, Faith, and Knowledge-01b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abdan narrated to us, saying: Abdullah informed us, saying: Yunus informed us from al-Zuhri. And Bashir ibn Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Abdullah informed us, saying: Yunus and Ma'mar informed us from al-Zuhri similarly. He said: Ubayd Allah ibn Abdullah informed me from Ibn Abbas, saying:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night of Ramadan to teach him the Qur'an. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was the most generous person, even more generous than the strong uncontrollable wind (in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds).
Sahih al-Bukhari 6
.

The Shaykh : O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad. The wisdom in his reviewing it in Ramadan is that it is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed. The wisdom in his reviewing it with him every year is to secure what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite and to recall the revelation when Jibril used to bring it down to him. Yes.
