Is it true that when the day of the festival and Friday coincide, the festival prayer suffices in place of the Friday prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it true that when the day of the festival and Friday coincide, the festival prayer suffices in place of the Friday prayer?

The Shaykh : Yes, it suffices in place of the Friday prayer for the one who prayed the festival prayer with the imam. As for the imam himself, it is obligatory for him to establish the Friday prayer. And the one who attended the festival prayer has the choice: if he wishes, he attends the Friday prayer, and if he wishes, he prays the midday prayer.
As for the one who did not attend the festival prayer, it is obligatory for him to attend the Friday prayer. So it is now clear that the Friday prayer is not dropped from the imam; he must establish the Friday prayer. But it is the followers who are distinguished in this matter:
It is said: The one who attended the festival prayer with the imam has the option to attend the Friday prayer with him, and that is better. He also has the option to pray the midday prayer in his house. However, the midday prayer is not established in the mosques.
As for the one who did not attend the festival prayer with the imam, it is obligatory for him to attend the Friday prayer.
