Commentary on al-Jalal al-Bayn's Tafsir: ((He is the One who shows you His signs)) proofs of His oneness ((and He sends down for you from the sky provision)) by rain ((and no one remembers))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The commentator said: "
It is He who shows you His signs
[Ghafir 40:13]
proofs of His oneness"
meaning those that indicate His oneness, and other things that indicate the meanings of lordship. "
sends down to you from the sky, provision
[Ghafir 40:13]
by rain"
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) holds that provision is what comes out through rain, meaning plants and the like. However, what we mentioned is more correct: that the rain itself is provision, because Allah said:
(68) And have you seen the water that you drink? (69) Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?
[Al-Waqi'ah 56:68-69]
And sometimes the body's need for water is greater than its need for food.
"
And no one remembers
takes a lesson
except he who turns back [in repentance].
[Ghafir 40:13]
returns from shirk (associating partners with Allah)"
And his statement:
except he who turns back [in repentance].
[Ghafir 40:13]
He said: "returns from shirk (associating partners with Allah)" This is undoubtedly correct, but it is incomplete. The correct view is:
One who turns back من ينيب
One who turns back to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) from shirk (associating partners with Allah) and other sins and open sinfulness is broader than what the author said.
