⁽⁹⁸⁾ Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allah are the firewood of Hell. You will be coming to [enter] it. ⁽⁹⁹⁾ Had these [false deities] been [actual] gods, they would not have come to it, but all are eternal therein. ⁽¹⁰⁰⁾ For them therein is heavy sighing, and they therein will not hear. ⁽¹⁰¹⁾ Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed.

إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنْتُمْ لَهَا وَارِدُونَ لو كان هؤلاء آلهة ما وردوها وكل فيها خالدون لهم فيها زفير وهم فيها لا يسمعون إن الذين سبقت لهم منا الحسنى أولئك عنها مبعدون

[Al-Anbya 21:98-101]

[Surat al-Anbiya:] And 'Isa? He is among those for whom the good has preceded, do you understand? For this reason, the disbelievers used 'Isa as an example and said, when the verse was revealed:

Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allah are the firewood of Hell

إنكم وما تعبدون من دون الله حصب جهنم

[Al-Anbya 21:98]

They said: Then 'Isa is in the Fire, in argument. So Allah the Exalted revealed:

Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed.

إن الذين سبقت لهم منا الحسنى أولئك عنها مبعدون

[Al-Anbya 21:101]
